This concert features the works of Spanish and Portuguese composers who lived and worked in South America during the 17th and 18th centuries, and who wrote in a very particular style: a fusion of European harmonies and counterpoint, African rhythms and Native American styles. Works by Gaspar Fernandes, Juan de Araujo, Antonio de Salazar, Domenico Zipoli, Antonio Martín y Coll, and Santiago de Murcia.
